The Pope's nose

My favorite part of the turkey!

When I was growing up in Missouri, our family always made a big deal of Thanksgiving. My siblings and I would always fight over the sweetest meat of the turkey. That's right, the little flap of skin that covers the turkeys rectum. Otherwise known as the pope's nose. You can look it up if you'd like. I truly believe there is no finer piece of meat.

Along with Sweet breads, these are a few of my favorite things.

All right, you got me

You got me. I am not a bad-a**. I actually do like the little one. She is wild and rough and I'm worried that I may break my hip, but that hasn't stopped her from growing on me. She is sweet and cuddly and, quite frankly, irresistable.

I no longer ignore her. I encourage her to play with me. When she bites, I pick up a toy and show it to her as if to say, "Use a toy to play with, not my cheek skin." She usually doesn't listen, but hey, she's little and cute and she'll learn eventually. By that time, she'll be taller than me, tougher than me and stronger than me. I hope she will be as gentle as me.

I Love to Shat!

Today has started out wonderfully. I received my breakfast early this morning, prior to the little bitch Scout receiving hers. Nothing frosts my red circle of life more than her being fed before me. Then we all went for a walk to eliminate. It was fan-freakin-tastic. I love it when He has to stoop over and pick up my waste. I tell you, if I could, I would do a little jig (and I do not mean Whitney Houston) while he does it. It is one of my simple pleasures in life. Then after that the little one jumped at my face for a while and we came home.

Something tells me today is the day! I know I will be invited to eat at the table. I just know it!

It's Global Cooling! It's Global Cooling!

We haven't had a cool spell in September like this since before 1928. It can only mean global cooling. Everyone get out your aerosol cans and spray! spray! spray!

Deep Thoughts by PU

• a hole for a fence post

• a 12-foot swimming pool

• a foundation for a basement

• the middle of Lake Superior

• an outhouse pit

• an off-shore oil drill

These things are deep
